Diego Pérez Burín

Diego Pérez Burín (Montevideo, February 9, 1962 ) is a former tennis player from Uruguay. It is one of the best tennis players in Uruguayan history with Marcelo Filippini and who has reached the highest in the world ranking of individual professionals.

He turned pro in 1981 and in 1984 reached No. 27 in the world rankings, the best position for a Uruguayan player so far. In 1985 he reached his first final at the ATP tournament in the ATP Buenos Aires where he lost in the final against Serbian Davis.
